Okidokie. The server is up and running again after a few days sidelined. It is my theory that the mail server was up and running properly while I beleived it was still non-functional. Comcast, in all its wisdom, has blocked port 25. This, incidently, is also the standard port for outgoing mail. Being unaware of this I assumed that my server was setup wrong. I'll give it another shot sometime soon, but for now I think I have gotten my fill.

Everything is going pretty well. I have started my new regime to get myself in shape both mentally and physically. While I would love to acutally do a little work on the comic I just dont have the motivation right now. Anywho, happy holidays to all and best of luck with the new year!

No luck so far. The smtp server only works in bits and peices on random addresses. I can't seem to get it to authorize with any certificates and my patience has worn a bit thin. Exhausted from a lack of sleep lately. I will pass up a board game night, read a bit of The Stand, and hit the hay.

Getting a mail client running on the server is proving to be a bit harder than i had anticipated. While everything apears to be running well i have nothing but problems when the actual ssl certificate validation is supposed to work. No users seem to be registered for any domain. Everytime i try to add a user i receive the haunting error that the user already exsists. I have had a few times where either the imap, pop, or smtp service works; in no way have they ever occured simutaniously. Sleep deprivation be damned i am going to get this sob running. That being said, it is time for sleep.

So i am sitting in front of my laptop slowly trying to get 5 months worth of neglected updating done in Gentoo.

[UPDATE] - Gentoo has been backed up and removed from the Lappy. Ubuntu 10.10 has been installed and I am loving it.

I have suddenly remembered why i decided to never let it get so out of hand again. If i still have this insurmountable amount of broken libraries by this week's end i may consider installing Ubuntu again. For the life of me i can't remember why i remain a compile-a-holic to this day.

Stayed up too late playing Left for Dead 2 again tonight (i guess technically this morning) and left Amy sleeping softly in my bed to the comforting sound of zombie genocide. Ever since it went on sale in steam i have been getting my 7 dollars worth. It's not hard to do and L4D2 delivered within the first hour of gameplay.

Watched a terrific vampire movie with amy over diner tonight; it was titled: Let the Right One In. I think it was one of the best vampire movies i have ever have the pleasure of viewing. This may be slightly influenced by a recent viewing of Interview with a Vampire; it's sad how memories never live up to themselves. It's even sadder when those memories are of movies. Don't believe me? Check out Short Circuit. You'll be ruining your childhood memories within the first ten minutes.

Here ya go Jon. Updated!

Ok. Now that the inside joke is over i can get down to brass tax. Life has been good albeit a little uneventful. I have been seeing a wonderful new girl, i am at the same shitty job, and i am trying to get back into this little project. Since, as you can see, i am no artist i have decided to look for help in illustrating this comic. I have no idea where to start, i cannot offer any pay, the hours will be long, and i am a dick to work with. If you are interested let me know!

The server has been updated and, god willing, a new design and a little fresh coat of code will bring this site up to snuff.

I have somehow managed to remain stagnant at the same job at CENSORED (they made me sign a non-disclosure agreement) waiting tables; my old location burnt down and now I am at a new one. Everything has basically stayed the same, but the faces change. There is the same dramatic fat girl, the same dramatic skinny girl, the same dramatic high school-er, and the same over-dramatic... . everyone. The only difference between the last post and this is that now i have a small fake degree. It has not helped.

Summary: The site is still probably dead but i am going to try and find the motivation to get some real work done. The server is good but the coding sucks. I need an artist! Waiting tables still sucks.

Here we go again...

So it's been almost a year since i have even updated my news. Needless to say dance took the priority and the webcomic has faded, like so many others, into the nether.
Well! It's time to try again! With some ass kicking from my better half I aim to make an honest comic out of KBF and with a little luck, a lot of discipline, a lack of dance, and a little booze. Since it has been so long since i updated the news I am going to put a link to my old news that I am sure no one will ever use!

Thanks to everyone who convinced me to tackle this again, and to anyone who should stumble upon this in the future!
